DRAFT MINUTES OF THE SIMPSONVILLE CITY COUNCIL WORKSHOP/SPECIAL VOTING SESSION JANUARY 26, 2010 6:30 p.m. City Council Chambers – 118 N. E. Main St .
COUNCIL PRESENT: Mayor Waldrop, Ron Bridges, Brown Garrett, Sylvia Lockaby, George Curtis and Julius Welborn STAFF PPRESENT: Russell Hawes , City Administrator, David Holmes , City Attorney, Judy Bishop, Robbie Davis, Chief Reece, Chief Williams, Joe Carter, David Dyrhaug and Melinda Zeller INVOCATION by Councilmember Garrett: OLD BUSINESS ORDINANCES 2 ND READING AXZ-2010-01, Annexation / Rezoning of Part of Lot 118 of West Georgia Heights . Motion by Councilmember Bridges to approve the request for annexation and zoning change pertaining to that petition for AXZ-2010-01. Motion carried unanimously.
EXECUTIVE SESSION . Motion by Councilmember Curtis to go into executive session to discuss a contractual matter relating to the Fire Department. Motion carried unanimously. Mayor and Council adjourned from executive session. Mayor Waldrop reported that no action was taken.
