The City of Simpsonville is currently accepting applications for the following:
Full-Time – Community Relations Specialist
Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, or closely related field supplemented by two to three years of previous experience and/or training that includes marketing, public relations, advertising/sales, marketing research, and marketing analysis or closely related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities for this position. Must possess a valid South Carolina driver’s license. Schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm.
Under general supervision, performs a variety of tasks in support of community relations functions of the City including: coordinating the development and implementation of non-emergency new releases, promotions of special events, citywide web and social media content, speeches and appearances by City officials, evaluation of effective community relations campaigns for City programs. Performs other duties as assigned. Reports to the City Administrator.
