In 1993, the Simpsonville City Council adopted the Greenville County Subdivision Regulations as the standards by which subdivisions within the City limits of Simpsonville would be regulated. Thereafter, this ordinance became known as the Simsponville Land Development Regulations. These regulations provide for the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of Simpsonville.
