Simpsonville 'Digital Town Hall' Makes Debut
New platform encourages community engagement
Simpsonville, S.C. — The City of Simpsonville published its "digital town hall" platform on Tuesday to increase community engagement and improve communication residents and visitors.
The platform is a tool for the City to solicit feedback, engage with the Simpsonville community and provide information and resources about important projects. Simpsonville Community Relations Specialist Justin Campbell said the Simpsonville "Digital Town Hall" platform will be invaluable to both the City and public.
"Because the City of Simpsonville values community engagement, we jump at the chance to use new tools for open communication and information-sharing," Campbell said. "The digital town hall platform invites members of the community to interact with City projects and become a participant in their local government and future success of the City."
With the groundbreaking of the new municipal complex and start of construction on City Park in February, the City is featuring the Municipal Complex & Re-imagined City Park Project on its digital town hall page. Visitors can provide feedback on and sign up for notifications about the project.
"We strongly encourage the Simpsonville community to use this new tool to increase their knowledge of City projects and let City leadership know what they are thinking," Campbell said. "Our goal is to strengthen the connection between Simpsonville local government and the community it serves."
