Bon Secours St. Francis Health System breaks ground on Grandview Drive

 

Simpsonville, S.C. — Mayor Paul Shewmaker attended and spoke at the groundbreaking ceremony of the new Bon Secours St. Francis Health System medical campus in Simpsonville on Tuesday.

Taking the public health precautions of wearing masks and social distancing to help prevent spread of the Novel Coronavirus Disease 2019, Shewmaker and other dignitaries gathered at the site of the future medical campus on Grandview Drive to commemorate start of construction. Shewmaker said the new campus is a "big deal" for the local community.

"This new medical campus will improve public health and quality of life in the City of Simpsonville," Shewmaker said. "We are happy to have Bon Secours St. Francis Health System as a partner in making Simpsonville a place that residents and visitors alike can call 'simply home.'"

Measuring more than 40,000 square feet and two stories, the comprehensive health care center will host a retail pharmacy, x-ray and ultrasound machines and clinical office space that will house OB/GYN, phlebotomy, orthopedics, primary care, behavioral health and cardiology services.
