Simpsonville, Simpsonville — With the holiday season just around the corner, the City of Simpsonville Christmas Tree is now standing tall after its assembly by the Simpsonville Public Works Department.

The City of Simpsonville Christmas Tree will be lit at the 3rd Annual Simpsonville Tree Lighting Ceremony at City Hall at 6 p.m. on Dec. 2 | City of Simpsonville

A Public Works crew started on Nov. 15 laying out the branches and base of the 22-foot tree on the front lawn of City Hall ahead of the 3rd Annual Simpsonville Tree Lighting Ceremony on Dec. 2. Topped by a 5-foot Nativity star, the artificial tree will be lit at the conclusion of the Ceremony, which will also feature a Christmas carol medley sing-along, Letters to Santa table and free hot chocolate and cookies in Burdette Central.
