Simpsonville, S.C. — The Simpsonville Public Works Department assembled the City of Simpsonville Christmas Tree on Thursday ahead of the 4th Annual Simpsonville Tree Lighting Ceremony in December.

Public Works crews worked from morning to afternoon to assemble the 22.5 artificial tree that features a 5-foot topper complete with lights that will be turned on at the Tree Lighting Ceremony on Dec. 1. The Ceremony will run 6-6:30 p.m. and feature a reading from the Book of Luke, "Christmas Carol Medley Sing-Along," Letters to Santa station and hot chocolate.

Simpsonville Community Relations Specialist Justin Campbell watched the assembly of the City of Simpsonville Christmas Tree at City Hall throughout the day.

"The Annual Simpsonville Tree Lighting Ceremony is my favorite City event of the year, and watching the assembly of the City's Christmas Tree gave me a warm feeling on a chilly day," Campbell said. "Public Works crews have done a great job assembling the almost 23-foot tree every year since the first tree lighting ceremony in 2019, and their hard work and dedication mean the Simpsonville community will have a bright beginning to the holiday season."
