The filing period for running for Simpsonville City Council in the November election starts 12 p.m. on July 15th and ends 12 p.m. on Aug. 15th. Seats for wards 2, 4 and 6 are up for election on Nov. 4th. Any residents who meet the requirements for candidacy can file a Notice of Candidacy for their respective ward within the time period. Below are maps of wards 2, 4, and 6 to determine ward residency. Simpsonville City Hall staff can assist with verification of ward if needed.
Prospective candidates must return the Statement of Intention of Candidacy in-person to Simpsonville City Hall at 425 E. Curtis St. on the second floor of the building. The filing fee of $300 must be paid upon submitting the Notice of Candidacy.
