Swearing-in ceremony to precede January business meeting, followed by reception
Simpsonville, S.C. — The 2026-2027 session of Simpsonville City Council will begin on Jan. 13 when Council meets for the first time in the New Year at its inaugural business meeting.
Prior to the start of the meeting at around 5:45 p.m., re-elected Council members Aaron Rupe (Ward 2) and Sherry Roche (Ward 4) and newly-elected Council member Jerry Tuso (Ward 6) will be sworn into office. The meeting will be called to order around 6 o’clock following the swearing-in ceremony.
Following adjournment of the business meeting, the City will hold a reception in recognition of the three seated Council members, to which the public is invited. All will take place in Council Chambers at 425 E. Curtis St.
The agenda and packet for the January business meeting will be available on simpsonville.com on or around Jan. 9. The first regularly scheduled Committee of the Whole meeting is Jan. 27.
