The Simpsonville Fire Department and the Simpsonville Police Department provide free child passenger safety seat installations and checks onsite by APPOINTMENT ONLY.

Nationally-certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians (CPSTs) provide free, hands-on, one-on-one education to ensure car seats are installed correctly. According to NHTSA studies, approximately 46% of car seats are installed incorrectly. These sessions, typically taking 20-30 minutes, help caregivers select appropriate seats based on a child’s age, weight, and height, often including checking for recalls and teaching proper harnessing techniques.
