Simpsonville City Council named to honor roll for Municipal Elected Officials Institute of Government
We’re proud to share that Simpsonville City Council has once again been named to the Municipal Association of South Carolina’s 2025 Honor Roll for the Municipal Elected Officials Institute of Government! 🙌
This distinction is awarded to cities and towns whose entire City Council has completed the Institute—and Simpsonville is one of just 14 municipalities statewide (out of 271!) to receive this honor. 💼🏛️
👏 Special thanks to Council members Chad O’Rear (Ward 1), Shannon Williams (Ward 3), and Tim Pinkerton (Ward 5) for recently completing the program. They now join fellow graduates Council members Aaron Rupe (Ward 2), Sherry Roche (Ward 4), Lou Hutchings (Ward 6) and Mayor Paul Shewmaker.
