Applications cover tourism-related events and projects scheduled July 2027–June 2028
Simpsonville, S.C. — The City of Simpsonville is accepting accommodations tax (ATAX) funding applications through Nov.2, 2026, for events or projects scheduled between July 1, 2027, and June 30, 2028.
Groups and businesses with eligible tourism-related programs may apply. Funding must directly support tourism and cannot be used for purely local functions. Applications will be reviewed by the Simpsonville Accommodations Tax Advisory Committee, which makes recommendations to City Council for a final decision.
Applicants must submit a completed and signed application, a proposed marketing plan and the organization’s latest audited financial statements, with seven copies of the application and supporting documents. Submit materials to the City of Simpsonville, Attn: Ms. Maria Tooley, 425 E. Curtis St., Simpsonville, SC 29681, no later than 5 p.m. on Nov. 2.
The deadline is usually Oct. 31, but since Oct. 31 falls on the weekend, the due date is extended to the following Monday.
