The City of Simpsonville is hosting an informational open house on the Municipal Tax Relief Act on Aug. 5th at 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. in Council Chambers at Simpsonville City Hall, 425 E. Curtis St. Simpsonville City Council is expected to consider at their Business Meeting on Aug. 11th second reading of Ordinance O-2026-08, which, if adopted by City Council, would place on the November ballot a referendum for voters to decide whether to approve a 1% sales tax over eight years that would fund more than $10 million in tax credits for homeowners in Simpsonville city limits and more than 40 miles of street paving in city limits. The informational session is open to the public.
