SIMPSONVILLE, S.C. — The City of Simpsonville is seeking volunteers for Simpsonville Simply Proud Cleanup Day on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2026, from 9 a.m. to noon.
Presented in partnership with Keep Greenville County Beautiful, Cleanup Day gives residents and community groups an opportunity to remove litter, care for public spaces and demonstrate pride in Simpsonville. Volunteers will meet at 425 E. Curtis St. before cleanup activities begin.
Individuals, families, civic and faith organizations, school groups, businesses and other community teams are encouraged to participate. Registration helps organizers plan assignments and communicate applicable waiver, age and safety requirements. Volunteers may register at tinyurl.com/SVLcleanup26.
Cleanup Day is also an opportunity to reinforce litter prevention throughout the year. Residents can help keep Simpsonville clean by disposing of waste properly, containing loose items, securing vehicle loads and picking up dropped items before they reach streets, sidewalks or stormwater systems.
Greenville County volunteer safety protocols require closed-toed shoes and safety vests during litter pickup activities; long pants are recommended. Volunteers should follow organizer instructions, remain alert near traffic and avoid handling hazardous items.
“Have pride in your community” is more than the event tagline—it is the purpose of Cleanup Day. The City encourages residents to volunteer, share the opportunity with others and continue practicing litter prevention after the event.
