Firefighter position open
Position is full-time
Simpsonville, S.C. — The City of Simpsonville is accepting applications to fill an open full-time firefighter position for the Simpsonville Fire Department.
Prospective candidates must submit a City of Simpsonville application for employment to the Human Resources Department; candidates who send only resumes without submitting an application will not be considered for the position.
The successful candidate must possess a high school or general equivalency diploma, valid South Carolina driver’s license and be at least 18 years old. Desired qualifications include NFPA Firefighter I or II, Hazmat Operation Level, Medical First Responder and CPR from the American Heart Association or Red Cross. The candidate must pass written and physical agility tests, background check and physical/drug screening.
The work schedule is 24 hours on and 48 hours off.
