Technician I – Recreation Department
Job Status:

Under general supervision, maintains parks, keeping them litter and weed free. Prepares parks for safe, organized and non-organized recreation. Drives and operates trucks to transport equipment and crew members to and from work sites to perform routine grounds keeping work in the maintenance of City properties and to perform related work as required. Operates heavy and specialized equipment as necessary including, but not limited to trucks, trailers, mowers, etc. Operates weed eaters, blowers, sprayers, an edger, chainsaws and other hand/power tools. Maintains a clean and orderly shop. Cleans bathrooms, removes trash, mows grass, sprays products, etc. in City parks, baseball fields. Reports to the Grounds Supervisor.
Education/Experience. Requires a High School Diploma supplemented by a minimum of one year of experience in a job-related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
